Achensee Lake Engagement Shoot in Austria

Melanie & Jesse travelled to Austrian Tyrol region to start planning their Austrian mountain wedding. Although Melanie’s parents are both Austrian, Melanie has lived in Oklahoma in the USA for almost 20 years, where she met her gorgeous fiancé Jesse.

On this particular trip, Melanie & Jesse arrived at the airport only to find out that they were not allowed to travel as Melanie’s passport had less than 6 months validity. Thankfully the airline let them reschedule their flight back and they rushed across the state to get a new passport and flew out the next day.

They decided that they wanted an engagement shoot in the beautiful Austrian Alps to capture this exciting time in their lives, show everyone where Melanie grew up and why it was Melanie’s dream to return here to get married. Melanie knew that when her friends and family back in the USA saw the pictures of Austria they would understand exactly why she wanted to get married there.

Lake Achensee Engagement Shoot In Austria

We chose the beautiful village of Pertisau on Lake Achensee, the largest, deepest and coldest lake in the Tyrol region of Austria. Nestled in the heart of the Karvendal and Rofan mountain ranges, we enjoyed a tranquil walk around the lake together before returning back to the picturesque village of Pertisau just as the sun started casting a beautiful golden glow over the valley.
