Gaby & German told us that they only had a small number of photos of the two of them outside of their wedding images and pictures from their 1st wedding anniversary. So they decided to have a wedding anniversary shoot in the Iceland amongst the stunning landscape of the Reykjanes peninsula with the wonderful photographers Vanessa and Stephan from Projectphoto.ch.
An Anniversary Shoot In Iceland
Gaby & German were travelling to Iceland on a family holiday with their two daughters. But wanting to make the most of the stunning scenery, and to celebrate their wedding anniversary, they took some time alone to explore the area and capture their adventure as husband and wife.
Gaby had bought a beautiful white dress especially for her Iceland trip, and very wisely, she had also purchased a long white skirt combined with a thick white sweater (and an extra warm and cosy white down coat). The temperature stayed around 10°C and the Icelandic wind didn’t disappoint, blowing Gaby’s hear like a wind machine from a Hollywood movie. The wild Icelandic weather didn’t put either of them off. In fact, it added an extra level of romance to their shoot as the huddled close to one another to keep warm and shelter each other from the ice cold wind.
Their wedding anniversary shoot took place in Reykjanesviti at the very end of the wonderful Reykjanes peninsula which is only about 1 hour drive from the Icelandic capital Reykjavik. This Southern peninsula is a very active volcanic region, with lots of hot springs and sulphur springs in the area as well as expansive lava fields. Near the town of Sandvik you’ll also find the “bridge between continents”, a bride that crosses over the rift valley where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates are drifting apart.
