Honeymoon Session In The Algarve

Celia and Stud were married back home in Toronto just a week before their honeymoon trip to Portugal. They contacted Portugal based photography duo Matt + Lena Photography to capture some of their honeymoon adventure in the Algarve. During their session, they visited the iconic Benagil cave, the rustic cobbled stone streets of Ferragudo, a fishing village with a large settlement of cats and Tres Iramos beach in Alvor for sunset on the clifftops.

A Honeymoon Session In The Algarve

In Celia & Stud’s Words:

The first time we meet was at Celia’s 26th birthday party. We both had a mutual friend who introduced us. We dated for 3 months before we made it official on July 9th 2013.I proposed to Celia on our 2nd anniversary. We had dinner at this beautiful restaurant overlooking the city. After dinner, we decided to go for an evening stroll along the lakeshore. I purposely took her to the same spot I asked her out 2 years ago. As we approached the spot the sun was setting in the background which really set the mood. Along the path we were walking I had her sisters set up rose petals and candles leading to the rocks. As we approached she kept asking what’s going on and I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.We choose Portugal as one of our honeymoon stops because the country is simply stunning. The food, culture and atmosphere were exactly what we needed after our wedding. We were looking for beautiful scenery and lovely beaches and we found it in Portugal. We still have so many things to see and do that we have to plan another trip. We want to explore more of this beautiful country!
