Mountain Elopement In Austria

When Niki and Chris were planning their wedding, one very special person was missing. That person was Niki’s beautiful mum, who so sadly passed away shortly before. Deciding it wouldn’t feel right to get married in the local church, Niki and Chris opted for the county that was home to her mum’s favourite movie, The Sound of Music.

A Mountain Elopement in Austria

Their elopement location was found by wedding planner Kajsa, a small stone alter in an isolated pasture on a mountain near the ski resort of St Johann in Tirol. The couple said their vows under the blue Austrian skies, while Niki’s close friend and witness Charlie sung the song Edelweiss.

Distraught that the could not have their fur babies at their wedding, Niki surprised Chris with replicas of their four rescue dogs as ring bearers.

Being a massive animal lover, Niki simply couldn’t have wedding pictures without some furry friends, so when she found a field of sheep, naturally she had to ask the farmer if she could have some pictures with them!
