Two Grooms In Kilts For This Enchanting Elopement In Scotland

Today’s real elopement is so stylish, yet also wild and enchanting. Craig & Peter travelled all the way from Australia to Scotland for this enchanting elopement in Scotland, and they had the wonderful Lynne Kennedy there to capture their whole adventure.

Two Grooms In Kilts For This Enchanting Elopement In Scotland

We met twenty one years ago. A friend’s daughter said I must meet this guy she works with. Knowing we were both unattached, she thought we shared the same sense of humour. We made the date and didn’t look back! We never intended to marry, however the more our Australian conservative government resisted our right to marry the more important it became.

Doing ancestral research pointed to our forbears of Scotland and a good excuse to order the full kilt and caboodle. A Scottish journalist contact of ours had done a hotel revue and recommended The Torridon and further research unearthed a web article about a small wedding there that Lynne had photographed.

The beauty and romance of the Scottish Highlands

All of it!

We would not change a thing.

Minimise the stress and costs by doing what we did and eloping. We didn’t elope, we just cordially uninvited all family and friends. 😉 We’ll probably have a reception on our first anniversary back in Oz.
