Waterfront Wedding In Crete

Loutro is a small village on the Greek island of Crete. Beautiful in its isolation, with no roads and no cars, the only way to reach this secluded village is by boat. Agne and Julius chose one of the most breathtaking and hard to reach wedding venues in Crete. But for them, that was all part of their Greek wedding adventure.

This hidden gem of Southern Crete perfectly matched with couple’s love for mountains and for remote and wild locations. Living in Switzerland, Agne & Julius both share a passion for mountains, hiking and reaching places far away from the regularly trodden paths, and they wanted that to be a part of their wedding story.

Their sunset ceremony took place on the hill amongst ancient Venetian fortress ruins, overlooking the Lybian Sea. As the final rays of sunlight cast a golden glow across the shoreline, Agne & Julius exchanged vows and rings with their closest friends and family to bear witness to their commitment to each other.

The evening wedding reception was inspired by Cretian culture and traditions. Guests danced to traditional music and sampled local dishes to complete their Cretian wedding experience.
