An After-Wedding Shoot In The Bavarian Mountains

Mountains, nature, two souls in love.

Ann-Christin and Karl got married a year ago. They both are nature and adventure lovers and their hearts belong not just to each other but also to the local Bavarian mountains.

An After-Wedding Shoot In The Bavarian Mountains

Ann-Christin and Karl celebrated their wedding day with their beloved ones, family and friends. They chose to have a big wedding with 120 guests. On their wedding day they only had a small amount of time for their bridal portraits, so they decided to do an after-wedding photoshoot a year later. It wasn’t easy choosing a location because all of their favourite locations wasn’t so easy to reach for me as a photographer. At the end and after a short discussion we have decided on a Karwendelbahn in Mittenwald. The mountain is reachable with a gondola, it is not so popular (or busy) with tourists and it is just beautiful out there.

Because the photoshoot took place in the autumn time, it was possible to shot beautiful photographs with a stunning golden light in the late afternoon.

The dress Ann-Christin wears is from local bridal wear designer Laura Schivo which was made especially for this occasion. Ann-Christin wanted to wear her hair open just with simply lovely braid on the side and to look as natural as possible she choose to forefit full-make up, and just opted for a bit of mascara. The goal was to take beautiful natural photographs, to celebrate their love, and their connection with the mountains.

For me as a photographer was amazing to see two people so much in love after years in a relationship – how they look at each other. You can see it and feel it through that photographs.
