When you love skiing, a winter wedding probably seems like the best of both worlds. You get to celebrate starting your new life together in the mountains doing something you really love. Today’s gorgeous couple chose one of the Dolomites’ most iconic ski resorts for their winter wedding – Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Even though the 2019 winter ski season ended early, this stylish winter wedding transports me right back to the apres-ski bars and energetic vibes of one of my favourite ski resorts.

We met via a common friend!
Tell Us About The Proposal
Dexter proposed to Rosanne on a boat close to some small islands in France. We have a summer house in the South of France and if we are sitting at the balcony we can see the place where he proposed, very romantical idea that we can see this place for the rest of our lives, where watching the sunset with a glass of wine :).
How Did You Choose Your Wedding Location?
We just googled and found this amazing location at a lake in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. We wanted a winter wedding because we looove skiing and because it is something different from what most people do.
How Did You Find Your Main Vendors?

What Was The Inspiration Behind Your Wedding Day?
We wanted a long weekend for our best friends and family, full of love, craziness, happiness & parties :). We started on Thursday with a welcome aperitivo on the mountain. On Friday we organized an apres-ski party in 80ies style. On Saturday, the big day was there were we married in the middle on a forest at a lake. Every day totally different theme, atmosphere and environment. Best weekend ever!
What Was Your Favourite Moment From The Day?
Actually two moments:
– The moment that the whole group (90 persons) was singing together “That’s Amore”
– All personal and beautiful speeches and saying YES to each other and speaking out loud our vows to each other
Any Advice For Other Couples?
– Invite only your closest friends and family (without kids ;))
– Work together with a wedding planner if you have the budget (less stress for yourself)
– Get a videographer! We asked Origami and we are soooo happy with what they created. We watch our wedding video so many times, it is something you have for the rest of your life!
If You Could Do It All Again, Would You Do Anything Differently?
No!
