There’s no hiding at WATW HQ that I’m a self-confessed Scandiphile. So when I received this wonderful anniversary session on Pulpit Rock in Norway from Aspen Jeanné Photography, I knew it would be a perfect fit or We Are The Wanderers.

An Anniversary Session On Pulpit Rock In Norway
I met Tyler & Becky on Facebook. As Tyler & I are both photographers, we utilize some of the same resource groups. When Tyler posted about wanting to surprise his wife with photos while on their anniversary trip to Norway & Sweden I couldn’t ignore the opportunity!
Tyler & Becky were celebrating their 4th anniversary by exploring Norway & Sweden. As two avid outdoor adventurers, Becky & Tyler were drawn to the majestic views and vast landscapes that you experience when hiking through these incredible countries.
For months Tyler and I schemed on how to best surprise Becky and where we would hike to for the photos. With so many gorgeous hikes, it was so hard to choose! We ended up landing on Pulpit Rock or Preikestolen. It is a beautiful hike that leads to an even more stunning view of a Lysefjord. We also wanted a hike that wouldn’t make us all completely sweaty and gross. Becky, Tyler and & I finally met at the parking lot and started our trek.
These two are such wonderful people with warm and welcoming personalities, it felt like meeting old friends again. With Becky & Tyler being from New York and me from California it was truly an amazing opportunity for us to meet all the way in Norway. When we finally reached the top, it was overcast but still incredibly stunning. Towards the end of our shoot, we got little rays of golden light that would peak through the clouds indicating sunset was here. We were so lucky. There was very little wind and we were practically the only people up there. It was perfect. I was so excited to celebrate Becky & Tyler’s anniversary with them in such an epic location. Their love and devotion to each other was palpable and so magical to capture, and to be surrounded by such magnificent nature in Norway made it an experience I will always treasure.
