Mountain Wedding In The Dolomites

Mountain Wedding In The Dolomites

Isabella, Italian, and Nikolas, Greek, both live in New York. They both love trekking, skiing, being in the nature and adventurous traveling. So no big surprise that they decided to seal the promise of eternal love in front of the Dolomites, the mountains they love so much. They got ready in Cortina d’Ampezzo and then said yes in a symbolic ceremony outside the Scoiattoli Refuge, at 2255 meters height, facing the breathtaking panorama of the “5 torri”, surrounded by ancient wood, a stunning landscape and the warmth of guests from all over the world, who reached the ceremony location by an exciting ride on a chairlift. After the ceremony, the newlyweds and guests moved, with several jeeps ready for the occasion, to the Averau Refuge, at 2413 meters height, to continue the party with buffet, dinner, dances and DJ set.

About Isabella & Nikolas

We met during our first day at work in New York, during an introductory training for new employees and we fell in love during a ski trip with friends in Vail, 6 months after we met. The proposal happened in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, after a day of ski touring in the mountains, when we were back in our chalet overlooking a beautiful frozen creek

I (Isabella) have been going to Cortina since i was a kid and it is a very special place for me. We both love the mountains very much and we thought it was natural for us to get married there. We fell in love during a ski trip 6 months after we met, Niko proposed in Jackson Hole during a skiing holiday and our honeymoon was hiking in New Zealand. So there is clearly a pattern here!

Nope!

You cannot control everything so pick the 2-3 things that matter most to you and let the rest go. For us it was location, music and food & wine.
